Lygaeus pedestris Fallén, 1807: 71 (junior primary homonym of Lygaeus pedestris Panzer, 1797). LT (Pericart, 1993b: 303): ♀, SV (south), Esperöd; MZLU.
Kleidocerys pubescens Curtis, 1836: text to pl. 612 (syn. Flor, 1860: 244). STS: GB, Combwood and Parley Heath; MVMA?
Pachymerus dubius Rambur, 1839: 152 (syn. Horvath, l929b; 323). LT (Scudder, 1967b: 264): ♀, SP, nr Malaga; BMNH.

Зап. Европа - от Португалии, Франции, Италии до Норвегии, Швеции, Финляндии. Сев. Африка, Балканы. Канада, США. От Закарпатья, Молдавии, Крыма, Кавказа до Карелии, Вологодской, Пермской обл. Сирия, Турция, Иран, Казахстан, Киргизия, Таджикистан. В Сибири - до Иркутска.

2,2-3,2 мм. Усики: 5 : 8 : 6 : 8.
В основном в лесной и лесостепной зоне, нередко в степях и сухих местах, обычно на вересняках.
