Жуків цього роду саме й приваблює жир, що окислюється. Тому вони нерідко зустрічаються на муміфікованих трупах тварин та на кістках.

Мене найбільше вразило те, що цих жуків зацікавив жир. Ніколи раніше не спостерігав таких жуків.
