Редок. Слепые жуки, характерные для средиземноморского региона. Вероятно, мицетофаг. Обитают в подстилке, в полостях под большими камнями, в норах Microtus arvalis Pall. и Apodemus flavicollis Melch., иногда в толще грунта (Дрогваленко, 2001).
